In 1970, he obtained his first Master of Arts degree from the University of Oregon, and in 1986, he earned a second M.A., this time in Clinical Psychology, from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. Dr. Civin further pursued his academic pursuits by earning a Ph.D. from Adelphi and a medical degree from the Pennsylvania Institute of Straight Chiropractic in 1988.
